Dear Parents,
My name is Amy Lowrie and I am so glad to welcome you and your child to my classroom. I know that by us all working together, we can make this a very successful year.
I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know each student in my class. I hope to have a very fun and entertaining year. I believe that a child learns through hands on experiences and by being challenged on a regular basis, so I am planning several activities to develop each child's creative skills and I will strive to keep them interested in learning.
I want to ensure that you are able to follow your child's progress in class, so please log onto my website at http://amylowrie.weebly.com to remain updated on our classroom topics, assignments and projects. You are also invited to phone me or send me an email through the school website if you have a question concerning your child's progress. I plan to keep you informed by sending home a weekly sampling of your child's work and a mid term progress report will be sent home during the third week of each six week grading period as well. I can also meet with you in person during my lunch break, before or after the school day, if you would like to meet in person. Please just send me a note one day prior to the conference request to ensure that I am available.
I consider it a great privilege and am honored to be your child's instructional leader this year. Likewise, I look forward to working with you to ensure that each student has a great year filled with exceptional learning opportunities.
Sincerely,
Amy Lowrie
